Green Supply Chain
Pegatron's supplier chain guidance includes our green policy and green purchase requirements. We require our suppliers to coordinate their operations, and our green management system ensures that suppliers implement green management policies in their factories. Pegatron has established an Advanced Green Classroom to provide courses and respond to questions. So that suppliers understand Pegatron's requirements for green purchases and WEEE/RoHS-compliant components, they may login to Pegatron's supplier relationship management (SRM) website. At the website, suppliers can familiarize themselves with WEEE, RoHS, and other regulations and can then link to the component approval procedure.

Environmental Management System
Once a year, Pegatron's certified suppliers must pass the accreditation of Pegatron's green management audit (QSA+QPA+GA) or QC080000:
  1. Quality system requirement
  2. Design control
  3. Document control and quality record
  4. Management of raw material vendors
  5. Product identification and lot traceability
  6. Inspection and test
  7. Equipment calibration
  8. Materials management
  9. Production schedule
  10. Purchasing
  11. Customer service
Quarterly Business Review
Since November 2005, Pegatron has carried out a quarterly business review (QBR) to evaluate how our suppliers comply with green Pegatron standards. Suppliers are evaluated in terms of quality, cost, delivery, service, and technology (Q,C,D,S,T). Outstanding suppliers can be our long-term cooperating partners, and they also have the chance to become our Annual Best Supplier. The Annual Best Supplier demonstrates the following characteristics:
  1. Collaborative process
  2. Direct feedback
  3. Support of continuous improvement in relationship
eGreen Management Platform
The requirement that suppliers conform to Pegatron's policies for green purchases, as well as provide information about WEEE/RoHS-compliant components, appears on our SRM (supplier relation management) website. The green component approval procedure has also been established in this eGreen platform. Suppliers of green parts are required to provide a hazardous substances warranty letter, the composition information, an MSDS for each component, and a third-party test report for further approval.

Environmental Management
  1. Hazardous substances
  2. Product content restrictions

Products manufactured for Pegatron must comply with our PUreGMS HSF TECHNICAL STANDARD (SPT-00001), which describes restrictions in connection with, or prohibition of, certain chemical compounds or materials in Pegatron's products or manufacturing processes.
